BANJARAN.....

Oh banjaran......
Don't you play that
plaintive tune....
it makes me cry....
it drives my wander-thirst mind
far away to the forlorn
world, of nostalgic sigh....
where maddening
memories hover......
ravaging my tender
thoughts, like a gust
of wild wind ransacks
the tree, of its vibrant
leaves and flowers....
Oh banjaran.......
your poignant tune
leaves me marooned,
Iike a lost traveller
in the deserts, amidst
the endless sand dunes....
Oh banjaran....
so play on thy mirthful melody,
to revitalize life
by augmenting the immune…
so play on thy mirthful, sonorous tune...
as the humming of the bees in mellowing June....

RHODODENDRONS......

Oh the clusters of
crimson delight....
Oh the fiery sunlamps,
the beacons in the sky...
with the backdrop
of desolate, pale
and barren rocks...
you scintillate and rock..!
Spreading galore of
vermillion and perfume...
your ethereal radiance,
lights up the fire
of exuberance, in the
insipid  minds of
woefulness and vacuum....
As l perceive your glow,
from my dismal window...
I enjoy the glimpses of
the utopian landscapes....
and my mind wants to fly
and dance like a butterfly
on your glittering rubicund...
Oh ye divine flowers,
your captivating radiance....
reminds us of the glory of
the Supreme Power,
painting eternally in silence....

RETREAT.........

The auburn Sun...
The dusky sky....
wee hours of the silent ,
frosty evening....
Weary birds...
returning to their nests
for a peaceful slumber....
Sensational sip
from the flavoured steaming cup.....
The gusty wind
intimating the unanticipated rain.....
Oh! the progressing Autumn....
proceeding towards a dark and chilly
ere long Winter......
Oh!  will the Christmas month....
the oozing goblets of
sherry and wine.....
the street carols....
the vibrant and festive
streamers that quiver....
conquer the fretful chilly bites....
and the maladies of
the ageing winter nights forever ??
